What's happening in Leo Season?
Leo season arrives on July 22nd like sunlight through clouds—warm, bold, and full of heart. Ruled by the Sun, it invites us to express our joy, lead with authenticity, and embrace what makes us feel truly alive. With Mercury retrograde and other cosmic shifts in play, this season reminds us to slow down, reconnect with our inner light, and shine from the inside out.
Return to the Heart - Embracing the light of Leo seaso
Beginning July 22nd PDT | EDT | BST
Leo season arrives like warm sunlight through the clouds. Bright and bold, it empowers us to reconnect with what makes us feel confident, open-hearted, and at ease in our own skin. The question is, are you ready to step unapologetically into your light? Let’s explore the energy of this season together…

The sign of Leo is ruled by the sun, life giver of our solar system, and its symbolism mirrors this role. At ease holding the centre, Leo energy brings light, glamour, and life to those it touches. Sitting comfortably in the restful stretch of summer (in the northern hemisphere) it reminds us to live from a generous heart, owning our true power and sense of self.
Remembering how to shine…
Leo energy asks us to honour our creativity, to share our joy freely, and to live in a way that radiates warmth from the inside out. The sign’s sociable nature calls us to remember who we are in the world and invites us to tend to the golden vision we hold for our lives. It’s a time to honour what lights us up, to take pride in our growth, and to express our truth with courage and joy.
This year, Mercury will be retrograde (in Leo) during part of Leo season, so we may need to slow down to cultivate our inner light. Neptune and Saturn will be at the same degree in Aries for a portion of the season and Uranus will have just entered Gemini. The Leo sun will make conversation with all these planets, so it’s even more important to hold the centre and be ready to work with an interesting but mixed bag of energy as the season unfolds.

Here are some ways to embrace Leo season:
-
Welcome your courageous self: Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes, it’s a quiet choice to stand in your truth. Where can you take one small, brave step?
-
Shine your light: Let yourself be seen. Celebrate your own kind of Leo sunshine. You are a unique spark of the divine, own it!
-
Listen to your heart: Are you truly listening to what your heart needs? Slow down, and let it speak. Give yourself the space to follow where it leads.
-
Find your spark of creativity: When was the last time you created something simply for the joy of it? Follow what brings you lightness and play.
-
Be proud of how far you’ve come: Take a moment to reflect on all you’ve created since the last Leo season in 2024, personally, professionally, spiritually. Be proud of all you’ve achieved!
-
Tune into the new moon in Leo: Don’t miss working with this powerful new moon that marks the beginning of a new lunar cycle. (Arriving 24th July).

Journals at the ready…
One of the best ways to start working with the cosmos is to understand how planetary shifts show up in your world. This is just one way of tuning in. During Leo season, we will see the planets move around the heavens, lighting up different parts of your natal chart. It can be helpful to journal about, or note down, any important events, patterns or shifts that come up around the following dates:
(For time zones: PDT/ EST/ BST*)
24th July: New Moon in Leo
30th /31st* July: Venus moves into Cancer
30th July: Saturn and Neptune conjunct (at same degree) in Aries until 15th / 16th* August
6th/ 7th*August: Mars moves into Libra
9th August: Full Moon in Aquarius
11th August: Mercury goes direct in Leo
11th August: Venus conjunct Jupiter in Cancer
Take your time to move with the season and return to your heart.
With love and blessings,
