Full Moon in Libra: Adorn your pearls of wisdom
12th April: PDT 17.22 | EDT 20.22 | 13th April BST 01.22
This month we welcome a full moon in the sign of harmony seeking Libra, ruled by Venus, planet of love and relationships. After the action-packed cosmic activity of March, will some Libra lunar energy be just what we need? Let’s explore more about how this full moon will light up our lives…
The energy of Libra seeks balance in our relationships with others, whilst also embracing other Venusian themes such as creativity, art, beauty and truth. When the sun moves into Libra in the astrological year, it coincides with the autumn equinox (in the northern hemisphere), when light and dark are in equal measure, symbolising the capacity of this sign to hold the balance.
When Venus turned retrograde on 1st/ 2nd March, this gave an opportunity to reassess if the scales of our relationships have been tipped in one direction for too long. If you’ve found it tough, take a breath, as just after the full moon, Venus stations to turn direct in Pisces. The full moon is illuminating this turning point, signalling the way for the end of the retrograde, and welcoming in forward moving energy.
Whilst warrior planet Mars may add some tension to this full moon, we have an opportunity to appreciate what the last few weeks have shown us about relationships, and what we truly value. Something may be culminating now, a boundary redefined, or some healing shining through. Take time to pause and appreciate the wisdom you have gained.

Ways to honour the full moon in Libra:
-
Beautify your altar: If you have a sacred space or altar at home, you can add fresh flowers to it, a rose quartz or a pink candle to honour Libran energy.
-
Make time for your loved ones: Pour some love into those special connections, but make sure you reserve some love for yourself too! (It’s all about balance, remember.)
-
Pay attention to how relationships have changed: Take time to appreciate any healing, insights or shifts that have occurred in your relationships with others, but also with yourself.
-
Embrace artistic expression: Set some time aside to connect to your creative self. Take a visit to an art gallery, craft centre, listen to your favourite music or get the paint brushes out!
-
Let go to welcome harmony: If you are ready to let go of old energy to welcome in more balance, make a list of what you’d like to release, gather your trusted circle around a fire pit, and safely burn your release lists under the light of the moon.
