November's Taurus full moon invites us to slow down and ground ourselves. Amid cosmic restlessness, its steady energy reminds us to breathe, reconnect with our senses, and find strength in stillness.
Holding steady, letting go ~ Attuning to November’s Full Moon in Taurus
5th November: PST 05:19 | EST 08:19 | GMT 13:19
This month’s full moon in earth sign Taurus offers a welcome pause, a moment to find our feet and take stock. This grounding energy is much needed, as an opposition between Mars and Uranus elsewhere in the heavens may leave us feeling a little unsettled or untethered. So, what guidance does this full moon hold? Let’s take a breath and consider her message…
After a Venusian start to the lunar cycle with a new moon in Libra – Venus and all she symbolises is getting another close-up, but in a different way! The full moon in Taurus, also ruled by Venus, puts us in touch with our senses and how we feel in the body. In Hellenistic astrology, when the moon is in Taurus, she is thought to be exalted, taking on lunar qualities of receptivity and intuitive awareness with ease. This earth sign’s energy can help us to slow down and appreciate what is abundant in life, and honour what steadies and sustains us.

Scorpionic transformation
Taurus’s stabilising energy can sometimes resist change, so it’s worth remembering that every full moon carries a natural polarity - the sun and moon poised on opposite sides of the sky. This month, as the moon luxuriates in the earthy realm of Taurus, the sun in alchemical Scorpio reminds us that change is both necessary and inevitable. By tuning into the body’s quiet wisdom and trusting our felt sense of intuition, we can more easily release what no longer nourishes us to make space for some Scorpionic transformation.
This feels important as just after the full moon, Venus will move into Scorpio and form a square with Pluto. Whatever the full moon illuminates for you may lead to deeper, more intense reflection as the lunar cycle continues and we move into a Mercury retrograde.
Take your time to ground and attune to what the full moon is ready to shine a light on…

Ways to work with the Full Moon in Taurus:
-
Practise gratitude: Give thanks for all that is good and abundant in your life. A moment of heartfelt appreciation can open the way for even more blessings to flow in.
-
Enjoy simple pleasures: Awaken the senses through small acts of self-care; cook a nourishing meal, savour a soothing bath, or perhaps gift yourself a massage treatment. Celebrate comfort and pleasure.
-
Consider what helps you to feel grounded: Give some thought to the people, places, or practices that bring you a sense of stability and peace. How can you bring more of this energy into your life?
-
Take a walk in nature: Step outside and connect with the natural world. Breathe deeply, feel the ground beneath your feet, and soak in the steady, nurturing energy of the earth.
-
Make time to connect: This full moon is a Supermoon so if the skies are clear, she should be extra bright! Take a few moments to bask in the moonlight. Gaze softly at the moon, breathe calmly, and allow yourself to feel connected to the cosmos.
Time to exhale
It’s helpful to pause at a full moon and take a breath. This is the point in the cycle where we can make time to focus on self-care and pay attention to what is being illuminated. We can also tune into our intuition by journalling, meditating or simply finding some quiet time to ‘just be’ and see what comes up. Here are some suggested journal prompts for exploration:
